What area does Symphonix cover?

We cover an area between the Gold Coast and Yamba. Travel within the Byron Bay region is included, but there may be an additional travel fee for performances outside of this area.

If we have to travel more than one hour we charge an extra $15 dollars per half hour of travel. For travel greater than 2 hours and 30 minutes, hotel or motel accommodation may need to be provided. This will be included in the cost of the performance.

Do you play outdoors?

Playing outdoors is negotiable. We ask that you have a wet weather contingency. Instruments cannot be exposed to direct sunlight or rain at all. Please discuss this at the time of booking.

What happens if it rains?

If your event is outdoors, we suggest that you have an indoors or undercover contingency plan. Instruments cannot be exposed to any rain at all.

Do you require amplification and power?

Depending on your event size and venue, power and amplification may be required.

Acoustic performances are recommended for intimate settings.

Do you require parking?

Yes, access to parking and an area to unload the instruments close to the performance venue is required.

Do you need breaks?

A 15-minute break is required for performances of two hours or more in length. 

Booking Cancellation and Fees

How do I make a booking?

How much does it cost?

We tailor each quote to your specific event based on a range of factors. To be able to provide you with the most accurate quote, please fill out this form and we will get back to you shortly.

Is there a minimum time I can book for?

The minimum booking time is one hour.

What does the booking fee include?

Your booking fee includes:

  • A performance of the required length
  • 30 minutes setup prior to the commencement of the time
  • Travel within the Byron Bay region

Any further charges will be agreed upon prior to the event.

Do I have to make a deposit when booking?

Yes, this deposit is 20% of the overall fee to secure the date for your event. It is taken off the outstanding balance and is only refundable if you cancel more than 14 days prior to the event.

What’s your cancellation policy?

Your deposit will be refunded if you cancel more than 15 days prior to the event.

Cancellation within the 15 days prior to the performance will result in the forfeit of the deposit.

What happens if we are running late?

During a performance there is a grace period of 15 minutes to allow for unforeseen circumstances. However, any unplanned extensions beyond this will be invoiced in 15 minute blocks at a rate of $20.

Can I hear you play before I make a booking?

Yes, of course you can. We want you to be sure when you are booking us.

Music and Instruments

What music do you play?

Symphonix can perform a broad range of music genres and styles from classical (Mozart, Handel, Schubert) to folk (Australian, Irish and English) music. Please contact us to see our repertoire or ask for an appropriate music suggestion.

Can I ask you to play a particular piece?

If you are unable to make a selection from our repertoire you can make requests. This may need to be negotiated, please include this in your booking request.

Can I take photos of or record you?

Yes, we are very happy to be filmed or photographed, we would love it if you could please send us a copy of the photos once you receive them. We are happy to credit any photography.
